Plants
- NY does not have a state-wide invasive plant program; however, there are specific state-funded response projects that currently include Hydrilla (Hydrilla verticillata), Water chestnut (Trapa natans), and Eurasian water milfoil (Myriophyllum spicatum) and a number of plants managed in the Adirondack Park through an AIS response team including Common reed (Phragmites australis) and Eurasian water milfoil (Myriophyllum spicatum).
Animals
- NY does not have a state-wide invasive animal program; however, active management of Asian clam (Corbicula fluminia) is occurring in one large lake in the Adirondack Region.
